The statistical data of the Ministry of Agriculture show an increase by 8.37% in pig slaughterings during the first trimester of 2015.

The April census showed little change in overall pig numbers in Denmark although there was a small increase in the number of breeding pigs.

During the first quarter of this year a total of 790,595 pigs have been slaughtered, representing a growth of 11.2%  over the same period in 2014.

During the first trimester of 2015, a total of 6,175,886 pigs have been slaughtered. This entails an increase by 2.4%.
