OIE’s official disease status can be issued for six priority diseases. These status are of major importance to OIE Members and are of great significance for international trade as they constitute an official reference for the World Trade Organization (WTO). They reflect the level of transparency and quality of the Veterinary Services of the country, increase the value of its livestock sector and facilitate regional and international trade of animals and animal products.

All the outbreaks are located in the province of Gifu and affect both wild boars and domestic pigs

The outbreak has affected a farm with 23 susceptible animals.

7 new CSF outbreaks have been confirmed on backyard farms.

3 new outbreaks confirmed on backyard farms in the state of Ceará.

After the first outbreak in domestic pigs, the veterinary authorities have informed of 19 cases in wild boars.

The focus has been confirmed in a pig farm located in Forquilha, Ceará. The state of Ceara is not part of the classical swine fever free zone.
