With this aim, a work group has been created that will produce the proposal for the Strategic Plan for the Eradication of classical swine fever (CSF) in the states of Alagoas, Amapá, Amazonas, Ceará, Maranhão, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Roraima.

The Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock Defence; Mr José Guilherme Leal, explained that the southern, southeastern and centre-eastern regions, and some northeastern states, such as Bahía and Sergipe are already deemed free of CSF.
