First ASF case in Mongolia

African swine fever has been detected in Mongolia for the first time and has affected pigs on a backyard farm.

The General Authority for Veterinary Services of Mongolia confirmed the presence, for the first time, of African swine fever in this country.

The backyard farm, with 84 cases, is located in Rashaant bag, Bulgan soum, in the province of Bulgan.
