A new type of automatic feeder can supply freshly moistened feed to the smallest piglets in the weaner/rearing units.
The Babyfeeder has been approved as a two-star New Product exhibit at Agromek 2018 where it will be presented by AcoFunki A/S.
The automatic feeder is equipped with a sensor that ensures that the trough is automatically filled when the sensor signals that it is empty. The feed is first mixed with water in the actual trough which ensures that the water contributes to push the feed out into the trough. This ensures improved hygiene and easier cleaning.
The Babyfeeder trough is dimensioned for young piglets down to four kilograms and it can easily be integrated between the divisional walls in the pens.
