Cyprus has reported foot and mouth disease (FMD) outbreaks in cattle and goats to the World Organisation of Animal Health since February of this year, and now the disease has now reached swine farms in the country.

Three outbreaks on three swine farms started in mid-April. All the farms are located in Nicosia, affecting a total of 21,144 domestic pigs. The farms had 4,282, 4,500, and 12,362 susceptible pigs.

Visit our FMD page for more information on the disease.
