Latvia: six new outbreaks of classical swine fever in wild boars

Totally 20 wild boars were detected seropositive with Ab ELISA test.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has reported six new outbreaks of classical swine in wild boars.

On 21 November 2012, following the CVO order a provisionally infected area where all 9 PCR positive wild boars were hunted was established. Totally 20 wild boars were detected seropositive with Ab ELISA test.

The affected animals were found in Dagda, Kraslavas and Zilupes counties.
