Nepal-China ink five-point agreement to speed up Nepal's agriculture sector

In a bid to speed up farm commercialization in Nepal, two agriculture Ministries of Nepal and China inked a five-point agreement during third bilateral Nepal-China Agriculture Assistance meeting held in Kathmandu.

A press statement issued after completion of the meeting stated that Agriculture Ministry of People's Republic of China has agreed to develop Nepal's agricultural in applying modern technology in livestock farming, fisheries and agriculture that are based in hilly region of Nepal.

Dr. Pravkar Pathak, joint secretary and spokesperson at the Ministry of Agriculture said that the agreement was also reached to begin joint agriculture research works the sector of horticulture, cultivation of cereal crops, poultry, pig farming and seeds productions of maize.
