The OIE has reported two new outbreaks of african swine fever in Tanzania. The affected villages are Kipeta nd Laela, both in Sumbawanga (Rukwa).

There are 7480 susceptible animals, 389 cases and 389 deaths.

The previous reported outbreak dates from May 2011.
