During the first eight months of 2018, the production of pigs for slaughter in terms of live weight in agricultural organisations reached 2.65 million tonnes: 10.5% or 252,100 tonnes more than in the same period in 2017.
The greatest increase in the production of pigs for slaughter in agricultural organisations was seen in the regions of Voronezhskaya (71,600 tonnes), Kursk (30,300 tonnes), Belgorod (28,000 tonnes), Pskov (23,800 tonnes) and Tomsk (20,700 tonnes).
