Main Russian pork producing companies in 2018

The pork production in the 20 main Russian companies has increased by 321,190 tonnes in live weight in 2018 with respect to 2017.

The National Pig Producers' Union of Russia has just published the list of the 20 main pork producers in 2018, measured in tonnes of live weight.

Russia produced, last year, 4,123,790 tonnes of pork in live weight. The 20 main pork producing companies in Russia produced 2,678,760 tonnes, 321,190 tonnes more than in 2017, accounting for 85% of the total Russian production (61.8% in 2017).

Next we show the list of the 10 main companies. Together they represent almost half of the Russian pork production (49.40%). All the companies have increased their production with respect to 2017, although some have reduced their share with respect to the total figures, such as Miratorg (from 10.9% in 2017 to 10.2% in 2018), and Rusagro (from 5.4% to 5.3%), that has gone from the third place in the 2017 ranking to the fourth place in 2018.
