The Russian authorities have informed the OIE about a new outbreak of Classical Swine Fever at a farm in Krasnodar Krai.

A total of 1766 animals were found susceptible to the disease, out of which six cases were identified. All susceptible animals were destroyed.

In the course of testing of pathological material taken from a pig found dead in backyard farm "OAO Kovrovski lesokombinat" in Melehovo village (the Kovrov Rayon, the Vladimir Oblast) positive results for classical swine fever were obtained by the All-Russian Research Institute of Veterinary Virology and Microbiology (GNU VNIIVViM).
