Russia notifies two outbreaks of Classical Swine Fever

Russian veterinarian authorities have sent Follow Up report No. 13 dated 3 January to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

It describes an outbreak of Classical Swine Fever in wild boars at two hunting areas located in Vladimirskaya Oblast and Smolenskaya Oblast. There are a total of 18 susceptible animals, of wich 8 cases.

The last outbreak of CSF in Russia occurred in October last.
