Laos confirms ASF for the first time

The veterinary authorities of Laos have confirmed to the OIE the presence of 7 outbreaks of African Swine Fever. It is the first confirmation of the disease in the country.

The confirmed outbreaks are located in Toumlan, in the province of Saravane, in the south of the country, with a total of 2191 susceptible pigs of which 973 cases.

In Southeast Asia, the disease has also been detected in Cambodia and Vietnam.
