France: drop in the production of feeds

During the first 5 months of 2014, the production of feeds has dropped by 1.4%.

According to data of the SNIA (French Animal Nutrition Industry National Union), during the first 5 months of 2014, the production of feeds has dropped by 1.4% due to the fall in the production of feeds for pigs (-4.4%) and fowl (-2.5%).

With respect to the 11 first months of the 2013-2014 campaign, the trends are similar, with a drop by 1.1% of the total amount of feeds: -1.5% in the case of fowl -3.9% in swine, and +1.9% in cattle.
