The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Rodolfo Zea Navarro, has held a series of bilateral meetings with ambassadors from countries such as China, Korea, New Zealand, Japan, and Russia, with whom he has made progress in the processes of gaining sanitary admissibility for Colombian agricultural products, including pork.

At the meeting with the Colombian Ambassador to China, Luis Diego Monsalve, the Minister thanked him for his efforts to speed up the eligibility processes under way for pork (among other products).

Regarding Korea, a response is expected from the Korean health authority, APQUA. The goal is for Colombian pork to have sanitary admissibility next year.

Colombia will begin to advance sanitary access for beef to Japan and thus open doors required to advance the process and requirements for pork.
