Following outbreaks of African swine fever in Italy and North Macedonia, the import of pork products originating from these two countries has been banned in China. The announcement came from China's General Administration of Customs on January 24.

Pork products shipped from Italy and North Macedonia from the date of the announcement will be returned or destroyed, and those that were shipped before the date of the announcement will be subject to enhanced quarantine.
