China ends the year with a drop in pork imports

After years of increases, China reduced its pork imports by 15% in 2021.

Since last June, China has been decreasing its pork imports, reaching a record monthly decrease of 61% for December compared to the same month in 2020.

Total imports for 2021 stood at 3,710,000 tons of pork or 4,990,000 t if we also take offal into account, which represents reductions of 15% and 12%, respectively, compared to 2020 data.
