Ukraine - Cabinet extends grain export quotas until July

The Cabinet of Ministers extended the quotas of exportation of grain crops until July 1, Agrarian Policy and Food Supplies Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has told journalists.

Prysiazhniuk notes, they also made a decision to increase maize export quotas by 2 millions tons to 5 million tons.Earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers on October 4, 2010 assigned the quota for export of grain until the year 2011 is 2.7 million tons, including 500,000 tons of wheat, 2,000,000 tons of corn, 200,000 tons of barley, 1,000 tons of rye, and 1,000 tons of buckwheat.

On December 6, Cabinet extended the quota for export of grain until March 31, 2011 (inclusive) and increased the size of the quota for export of wheat from 500,000 tons to 1 million tons and the quota for export of maize from 2 million tons to 3 million tons.
