The Belgian press has echoed the arrest of two people that could be related to the appearance of African swine fever in Belgium.

They seem to be a forest ranger and a hunt manager, suspected of, according some Belgian media, of introducing wild boars carriers of the virus from Eastern Europe, although the attorney's office has not informed, so far, of the reasons for the accusation.

On Tuesday, February 12th, the judges' chamber of Arlon confirmed the arrest warrant, for a month, of one of the defendants.
