On September 11, 2020 Singapore imposed a temporary restriction on the import of pork and pork products from Germany due to an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF).

The Singapore Food Agency has since worked with Germany on a regionalization arrangement for ASF, such that import restrictions are scoped to areas listed in Parts I – IV of the latest updated Annex of the EU Commission Implementing Decision 2014/709/EU.

Pork and pork products from Germany that were not derived from areas listed in Parts I – IV of the latest updated Annex of the EU Commission Implementing Decision 2014/709/EU will now be accepted for import.
