Temporary restrictions lifted from pigs and porcine products from a number of pig farms and meat-processing plants of the Brestskaya Oblast in the Republic of Belarus.

Taking into account materials provided by the national veterinary services of the Republic of Belarus supported by description of the anti-epidemic measures taken by the Republic of Belarus in order to control African swine fever and taking into account legal acts related to the issue as well as the outcomes of the inspection carried out by experts of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Bryansk and Smolensk Oblasts in cooperation with the national veterinary services of Belarus from 2.10.2013 to 5.10.2013 at the Belarus plants involved in marketing of pork and its products, the Rosselkhoznadzor will lift on the 9th of January 2014 temporary resections earlier imposed on the following pig farms and meat-processing plants located in the Brest Oblast of the Republic of Belarus.

The Rosselkhoznadzor also reported that the mentioned meat-processing plants may use pig farms located in the other oblasts of Belarus as a source of animals in case no temporary restrictions are imposed on them.
