During the meeting, the parties discussed further spread of African swine fever in the EU territory in the light of ASFV introduction into Belgian wild boar population and reporting of this disease by large pig farms and slaughter and processing establishments of Romania. The Rosselkhoznadzor requested information about measures, taken to contain and eradicate the disease in the designated zones.
Besides the Russian party raised a question concerning the possibility of visiting recently infected countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic) and bordering countries (Germany) by Russian specialists in order to assess the measures, taken to improve ASF situation in the EU member-countries.
