The Philippines is expected to import 394 thousand tonnes of pork this year, according to the FAO's November Food Outlook report. This would represent a 19% increase from the 332 thousand tonnes imported last year.

The country's pork production is anticipated to decrease 4% from last year to reach 1.139 million tonnes, not enough to supply the country's expected pork requirements of 1.531 million tonnes.
