The Government, through the National Service for Quality and Animal Health (SENACSA) decided to lift the state of health emergency in the department of San Pedro, declared at the time due to the outbreak of FMD in that area of the country.

According to the report given to the President's Information Department, the measure was possible after the results of the serological and clinical analyzes performed on susceptible animals without vaccination.

The animals were negative in the analysis after the trial period, which is why SENACSA decided to lift the emergency measure.

The coverage of the first period of vaccination against disease, effective until March 17, amounts to 95%.
