Paraguay: Argentina allows for free passage of bovine offal and pork

Argentina sent an official notice allowing the river traffic of raw bovine offal and pork.

After the severe impact that an outbreak of FMD represented for Paraguay, the livestock sector is recovering gradually and a very important step has been taken with the allowance of river traffic of bovine offal and pork through the ports of Argentina.

Dr. Hugo Idoyaga, director of the Foreign Trade arm of the National Animal Health and Quality organization (SENACSA) said the livestock service of Argentina sent an official notice allowing the river traffic of raw bovine offal and pork, as well as the ground transit of cooked ground beef offal, deboned and aged, and the import of leather cuts.
