Argentina creates an evaluation committee for pig production

The Secretaries of Domestic Trade and of Agriculture mandated the creation of the Pig Production Evaluation Commission of, whose role will be to analyze the evolution of pig production in Argentina in order to evaluate the permanence of the various categories of cured ham referred to in the Argentine Food Code.

The new body will comprise representatives of both secretariats, the National Health Service and Food Quality (SENASA) of Argentina, the Chamber of Industry and Allied Sausages (CAICHA) of the Meat Industry Union of Argentina (UNICA) and the Argentinean Association of Pork Producers (AAPP).
