On Thursday May 26, the Office of Manitoba's Chief Veterinary Officer reported a PED positive test from a Manitoba batch sow farrowing barn.

This is the first case of PED in southeast Manitoba since January 2015. The Manitoba Agriculture Food and Rural Development (MAFRD) EOC is open and operational. Epidemiological investigation of the PED positive farm is ongoing.
