With the aim of improving animal health and welfare through Good Farming Practices in non-certified abattoirs, the National Service for Agrifood Health, Safety and Quality (SENASICA), is strengthening the implementation of knowledge through the “Authorised Responsible Veterinarian” course.

In coordination with the Animal Husbandry Veterinarians' Federation (FMVZ), the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) trains veterinarians so they are in charge of the animal health control in municipal and private abattoirs.

The training taught by technicians from the SENASICA is aimed at veterinarians that wish to obtain the authorisation so they can provide their services in abattoirs.
