Mexico ready to be declared free of Aujeszky's disease

The Chief Director of SENASICA, Enrique Sánchez Cruz, announced that Mexico is ready  to declare to the world their Aujeszky's Disease Free Status.

By giving recognition of Aujeszky's Disease Free Status to the State of Guanajuato, the Chief Director of SENASICA, Enrique Sánchez Cruz, announced that Mexico is ready to declare to the world their freedom from this condition that affects pigs.

With the publication in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) of the agreement about the change in the animal health status of the State of San Luis Potosí, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) will declare Mexico as free from this disease, in accordance with the secretary Enrique Martínez y Martínez's disposition to progress in the health area for the benefit of producers and consumers.
