México and Canada have agreed to reinforce links of cooperation and to improve sanitary and commercial protocols in order to amplify trade between the two nations.

During the meeting between the Secretary of Agriculture, Francisco Mayorga Castañeda, and his Canadian equivalent from Agriculture and Agri-food, Gerry Ritz, the most important aspects of the agriculture and livestock agenda between the two countries were revised, as were the advances in negotiations for the trade of beef, poultry and pig meat and processed products.
