In the course of the negotiations the possibility of the Russian poultry supplies to Japan was discussed. The Japanese party informed that it had reviewed all the materials provided by the Rosselkhoznadzor and requested additional information on the issue.
Norio Kumagai noted that the Japanese authority is also reviewing the possibility of beef and pork import from Russia. In this regard the foreign colleagues are interested in epidemic situation in the RF, as well as prevention measures for highly dangerous animal diseases.
The Japanese party also raised the issue of extending the list of establishments, that are authorized for beef supplies to Russia. Konstantin Savenkov said that the issue is now under consideration of the Service.
The Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor thanked the colleagues for cooperation and noted that he hopes to see them at the Russian – Japanese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Issues, which will be held in Moscow in December.
