The WOAH/OIE has confirmed the presence of the ASF virus in a wild boar with a subclinical infection found in Tarcal, in the county of Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen, in the north of the country.

The disease appeared in Hungary for the first time in April 2018, and up to now it has only affected wild boars.
