European Union continues the increase in pork exports

Exports of pork from January-April increased by 6.6%.

The latest data provided by the Management Committee of the Common Organisation of Agricultural Markets in relation to cumulative pork exports from January-April place these at 1,037,754 tons, 6.6% more compared with the same period last year.

Russia remains the main destination with 25.3% of the total share, followed by Hong Kong (15.3%), China (15.1%), Japan (6.9%), Korea (6.0%) and Ukraine (4.3%).
Imports are at 11,613 tons and continue their downward trend with a 3.4% decrease over the same period last year.
