The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration notified the Rosselkhoznadzor on the immediate initiation of investigations as soon as it received information that on the Belarus border three breeding pig consignments destined for exportation from Denmark to the Tambov Oblast had been detained due to death of 37 animals.

The Danish Veterinary Service supposes that the investigation and necessary corrective measures aimed at prevention of such cases in future as well as notification of the Rosselkhoznadzor would take 15 consecutive days. A decision was taken to stop breeding pig supplies from Denmark to the Customs Union member-states for this period.
