The analysis of the Danish pig industry in 2019 was based on the performance of 820 pig producers.
In 2019, pig producers achieved very good results compared to the previous year, due to increased pig prices and only slightly higher costs, especially in the second half of 2019.
Slaughter pig producers increased their production volume, and received an average of DKK 2.7 more per kg of pork than the year before, which corresponds to a price increase of approximately 28 per cent.
