The ICA (Colombian Agriculture and Livestock Institute), through the Resolution 2521 of 2014, has established as compulsory the vaccination against Classical Swine Fever (CSF) in the departments of Atlántico, Bolívar, Córdoba, La Guajira, Magdalena, Sucre and some municipalities of Cesar and Norte de Santander.

The vaccination was ordered bearing in mind that in La Guajira, Cesar, Magdalena, Bolívar and Norte de Santander there were CSF outbreaks that made necessary to adopt this health measure in order to prevent the spreading of the disease and to protect those areas that currently have a different health state.
