China’s pork import in June continued to increase, according to customs’ statistics. China imported 126,269 tons of fresh and frozen pork in the first half this year, an increase of 43.39% compared with the same time last year.

Over half of the imported pork was from America. Chinese government is promoting pork import to solve pork supply shortage currently with the rise of commodity prices.
