China approves 8 Argentine meat packing plants for pork export

Argentine beef, poultry, sheep and pork plants approved by China to export their products.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has reported a new development in its trade negotiations with the People's Republic of China, following China's approval, 19 new plants were opened in Argentina for the export of beef, poultry, pork, and sheep. This includes the first sheep plant.

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, Luis Miguel Etchevehere said that "Now, ninety-one plants have access to China. From January to September this year we became the main supplier of beef to that country. This is historic in our global relationship, and along with it comes more employment, investment and development for Argentina.

The authorized pig plants are La Piamontesa de Averaldo Giacosa y CIA SA, Amancay SAICAFI, Deltacar S.A., Tutto Porky"s SRL, Supermercados Toledo S.A., Cagnoli S.A., Frigorifico Qualita and Carnes Porcinas Seleccionadas SA.
