The Ministry of Agriculture has again updated its information on the impact of African swine fever (ASF) on Spanish exports of pork products and derivatives.

This latest report highlights:

  • Japan: The suspension of imports of Spanish pork products remains in place, although the export of pork products packaged on or before October 29 is permitted.
  • The United States continues to recognize EU regionalization, meaning that pork products can be imported from the unrestricted area, except for pork casings, which are suspended for all of Spain.
  • A supplementary certificate is created with the virus inactivation treatments listed by WOAH for countries that require it, including Brazil and Chile.
