ASF: EU agricultural ministers call for monitoring of pig markets

The Czech Republic asked the Commission to monitor developments in the pig meat markets.

Last Monday, during the meeting of the European Union agricultural ministers, issues related to the recent confirmation of African swine fever (ASF) in Germany for the first time were discussed, among other topics.

The German minister reported on the state of the situation in the country. The Czech Republic asked the Commission to monitor the development of the pig meat markets following the confirmation of ASF in Germany. The Spanish minister supported this request.
