ASF Belgium: the number of outbreaks rises to 53

The FASFC has just updated the data on the total number of ASF cases in wild boar to date.

The information updated to date by the Belgium Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) already raise to 53 the number of cases of African swine fever in wild boar. At the moment, all the cases are circumscribed to the region of Etalle, province of Luxembourg.

On the other hand, in the infected zone currently defined, all domestic pigs were culled between September 29 and October 2, 2018, following the decision of the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Denis Ducarme. The repopulation of farms in this area is not allowed until further notice.
