A confirmed case of SD and aproximately five unconfirmed suspected cases are a concern for farmers in the region.

It is a reminder for producers to be vigilant about biosecurity and health management.

Things to consider include:
• rodent control
• bird control
• good hygiene, cleaning and disinfection of housing and vehicles

It is important that any producers who have cases of the disease confirmed keep others in the region informed.
