According to BPEX, for the first quarter, 68,000 tonnes of pork products were exported. Pork shipments were 23% higher year on year, at 43,400 tonnes, and offal exports increased by 73% to 15,700 tonnes.

1,900 tonnes of sausages were exported in March, twice as much as in 2012. The total for the first quarter amounts to 3,800 tonnes (+73% year on year), which means as much as 10,000 tonnes could be reached by the end of the year for the symbolic British product. In particular, Hong Kong was very receptive to the offer from the three producers who presented products at Hofex two weeks ago.
