UK: pig slaughterings down

In December 2016 UK clean pig slaughterings were 8.4% lower.

According to Defra, in December 2016 UK clean pig slaughterings were 8.4% lower than in December 2015 at 855,000 head. Pigmeat production was 73,000 tonnes, 7,2% lower than in December 2015.
