The production of the food and beverages sector has increased by 3.8% in 2014, and this translates into €93,238 million. This is set forth in the FIAB's 2014 annual Economic Report, submitted by the Federation's CEO, Mr. Mauricio García de Quevedo.

The animal feed sector stands out: it raised its net sales up to €8,905 million, and this represents 9.7% of the total of the food and beverages industry, and places it as the third sector in this industry, after the meat industry and the production of beverages.

The most exported products are pork (13.4% of the total), olive oil (12.1%) and wine (10.7%).

The subsector with the highest increase in exporting companies is that of meat and edible offal (growth by 12.2%), going from 890 companies in 2013 to 1,000 companies in 2014.
