Exports of meat, offal and pork fats (including shipments to the EU) exceeded 382,000 tonnes, a record high, in the first quarter of 2015, which represented an increase of 15% over the same period in 2014. In terms of value, they reached €747 M (+ 11.5%).
The beef industry, on the other hand, exported 42,500 tonnes of meat and offal (+ 32.5%), a figure never before reached. In terms of value, the record figure of €132 M (+ 20%) was obtained.
