Russia: temporary restrictions against 12 French establishments

Due to the detection of the violations of Russia’s and CU animal health requirements and standards temporary restrictions on export of products to Russia’s/CU market are imposed by the Rosselkhoznadzor against 12 e<br>stablishments from October 10, 2011.

The Rosselkhoznadzor specialists inspected 19 French establishments authorized to export animal products to the Customs Union territory upon the agreement between the Veterinary Services of Belarus and Kazakhstan from June 26 to July 09, 2011.

Based on the results of the data analysis seven establishments (five milk-processing establishments and two meat-processing establishments) retained the right to export their products from France to the Russian Federation. Due to the detection of the violations of Russia’s and CU animal health requirements and standards temporary restrictions on export of products to Russia’s/CU market are imposed by the Rosselkhoznadzor against 12 establishments (nine meat-processing establishments and three milk-processing establishments) from October 10, 2011.

A letter with the request to conduct an official investigation of violations detected during the inspection was sent to the Veterinary Service of France.
