The conversations were held during the 85th General Session of the WOAH in Paris. The main discussion was the possible export of pork offal from the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand.

The Thai authorities showed their concern for the presence of African swine fever (ASF) in Russia. The representatives of the Russian veterinary service (Rosselkhoznadzor) informed of the actions that are being carried out to control and fight the disease. The Rosselkhoznadzor also expressed its will to invite a delegation of Thai inspectors to visit and monitor Russian companies interested in supplying pork offal to the Thai market in the near future.

Also, both parties discussed the significant progress in the implementation of the national electronic certification systems and the backing of the maximum traceability principles.
