The veterinary authority of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) announced the enforcement, last week, of temporary restrictions to the import of live pigs, pork, pork-containing products and pig embryos and sperm from Romania, Itar Tass reported.

This decision was taken due to the worsening of the situation regarding African swine fever in Romania and to the obvious progress of this disease in the EU.
